The ideal lightweight mounting board!
Composition:
White sandwich boards with self-adhesive, stable, aluminium-reinforced outer layers of chromo substitute cardboard and a board core of light grey PUR hard foam (polyurethane foam). Fire protection class: B2 according to DIN 4102-1.
Available variants:
KAPA® fix boards are available either one-sided self-adhesive (in 3, 5 and 10 mm) or double-sided self-adhesive (in 5 and 10 mm):
- SK1: One-sided self-adhesive with checkered cover foil on the front and white cardboard on the reverse
- SK2: Double-sided self-adhesive on the front with checkered masking film and on the reverse with white masking film
Applications:
Ideal for easy mounting/laminating of (digital) prints, (large-format) photos, pictures and plans for a variety of indoor applications. KAPA® fix is also suitable for signage, presentations, 3D applications such as shop-window decoration (even with high exposure to the sun e.g. south facing), as a background sheet for applications (fabrics, textiles, foils, etc.) and construction or fill-in sheet for POS/POP displays, as well as for trade fair stands and (architectural) model making.

The self-adhesive top layers of KAPA® fix lightweight boards have a high adhesive strength and can be mounted manually or mechanically (cold mounting). Due to their low weight, these ready-to-mount carrier boards (in contrast to PVC rigid foam boards) are very easy to further process and with their excellent flatness ideally suited for all mounting tasks in the graphic-decorative sector. Simple cutting (with a cutter/knife or digital cutting plotter) enables creative free forms.

Individual (special) formats such as 1400 x 1500 or 1400 x 2000 mm and freeforms can be cut according to your specifications: cutting service.
DIN formats in stock: Single-sided self-adhesive KAPA® fix cuts in practical DIN formats (DIN A4: 210 x 297 mm & DIN A3: 420 x 297 mm) are available directly from stock.
Further features:
- The mounting of inkjet or digital prints requires special handling: Too much or too little relative humidity can cause ripples or tunnels. Please carry out appropriate tests before final lamination.
- The foam core is resistant to almost all solvents and adhesives. For adhesives containing toluene, please carry out tests before lamination.
- Service temperature continuous Td = -20 to 100°C; short-term Tk = up to 130°C
- Fire protection class: B2 according to DIN 4102-1 (normally ignitable materials)
- pH value: self adhesive 1 = 8.5 / self adhesive 2 = 8.3 (acid-free)
- Meets the following standards: DIN ISO 9001:2008, DIN ISO 14001:2004 & BS OHSAS 18001:2007
