Aluminium composite panels are characterised by high stability, are resistant to temperature and humidity and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
The white aluminium topsheets are suitable for direct printing & photo mounting – ideal for advertising signs, visual communication and interior cladding.
Another advantage is their fire rating – often important for shopfitting, exhibition stand construction and industrial applications.

KAPA® boards are a composite of polyurethane foam and various paper surfaces, some of which are FSC® certified. The boards (often referred to as Depafit) are available in a range of colors from white and gray to black. There are variants with self-adhesive or moisture-repellent surfaces while others have a particularly stable foam core. The diverse range of boards is used primarily in the field of visual communication.

The easy processing of KAPA® foam panels is another benefit, which of course also applies to FOAM-X® and the extremely stable GATORFOAM® panels.

For short-term outdoor use (1 - 2 days) we recommend KAPA® plast - for long-term outdoor use we recommend the weatherproof, lightweight & at the same time extremely stable SMART-X® plastic sheets.

Many thicknesses & formats, cutting service, fast delivery

As a large and long-standing distributor of 3A Composites, we offer a wide range of lightweight foam sheets & sandwich panels. Thicknesses in 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 mm as well as formats from 210 x 297 mm over 700 x 1000 mm and 1400 x 1000 mm up to 2030 x 3050 mm are available from stock. However, if the right format is not available, we can cut the panels to your desired format - or you can cut it yourself with our professional cutters, rulers & cutting mats. Tutorials on how to laminate and cut lightweight foam boards like KAPA® can be found on our YouTube-channel.

Frequently asked questions about lightweight foam boards

Lightweight foam boards consist of 2 different components: A core of polyurethane foam equipped with paper surfaces on both sides. Therefore these lightweight & stable boards are also called sandwich boards. Due to a wide product range with different properties, the boards are used in a wide variety of visual communication applications.
Both kinds of boards are light & stable, whereby the foam of rigid foam sheets is usually denser than that of lightweight foam sheets and thus even more stable. In addition, the denser foam does not absorb water, which is why rigid foam sheets such as SMART-X® are often used in outdoor applications.
Depafit is another name for lightweight foam boards.
Photos, pictures & posters can be laminated onto light foam boards such as KAPA® line using spray adhesive. Alternatively, you can use the self-adhesive KAPA® fix quick laminating boards (video instruction).
KAPA® tech boards are certified according to Euroclass Bs2dO / DIN EN 13501-1 (flame retardant / B1). Furthermore, the products KAPA® fix and KAPA® mount are certified according to fire protection class DIN 4102/B2.
